Lamieus Signature Buttery Biscuits

Lamieus Signature Buttery Biscuits

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 3/4 cup milk (whole milk or buttermilk for added richness)
  • 2 tablespoons Lamieus Honey (for a touch of sweetness)
  • Lamieus Cooking Spray (for greasing)

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly grease it with Lamieus Cooking Spray.

  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.

  3. Incorporate Butter: Add the cold, cubed butter to the dry ingredients. Using a pastry cutter or your fingertips, cut the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.

  4. Add Wet Ingredients: Make a well in the center of the mixture and pour in the milk and Lamieus Honey. Gently stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; the dough should be slightly sticky.

  5. Knead the Dough: Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead it gently 4-5 times, just until it comes together. Pat the dough into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick.

  6. Cut Biscuits: Using a round biscuit cutter, cut out biscuits from the dough. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are close but not touching.

  7. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown on top.

  8. Serve Warm: Allow the biscuits to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy them warm with Lamieus jams or spreads for a delightful treat.
